Dale Steyn got away with the wicket in the second ball of the match taking the wicket of the centurion of first test Khurram Manzoor. Philandar and Morkel too supported well not giving enough opportunities to score for the Green Shirts.
To add to the misery, Pakistani based South African bowler Imran Tahir ripped apart strong batting line of Pakistani team. Pakistan scored managed to score only one boundary which was hit by Shan Masood. Batsmen like Misbah ul Haq and Younis Khan also managed to struggle against the Proteas bowling attack. Wicket keeper Adnan Akmal too was uncomfortable against South African attack.
Earlier, Pakistan team won the toss and elected to bat first and it was expected that they would continue where they left off from the 1st test. However, it was not to be as the batting line collapsed dramatically.
