This year we saw Facebook invite the page owners of various brands to try the latest version of the Page Insights which was specifically designed to help them create even better content as well as provide the admin with further information related to people who visit the pages. Recently, Facebook unveiled the brand new features of Page Insights to the Page owners, which have been developed by going through the entire feedback received by the page managers.
The sole purpose of this change is to give more liberty to brands/page owners to understand their audience better and convey their message effectively. It’s a dream of every Facebook page owner to reach maximum audience and many companies, like marketingheaven, are specifically working on audience reach.
Simple metrics design
In order to help the page admin to see how the people engage with their content, Facebook has split the ‘People Talking About This’ metric to separate elements, such as the Page Likes, tags, People Engaged, mentions, check-ins, along with various other interactions.
Virality metric has also been renamed to Engagement Rate, which basically helps the admin in gauging the overall quality of their posts, and now it includes the clicks as a part of the measurements, which is definitely a gateway to marketing heaven.
Tools for publishing better content
Facebook has now aggregated the entire metrics specifically for a positive interaction on your page, such as, likes, shares, comments as well as clicks, along with negative interactions, which includes, report as spam, hide post, unlike page and hide all posts, which are all shown separately, which can be observed every second to be aware of the exact response your page is receiving.
Insights about the people who are interacting on the page
The Page Insights now allow the user to not only see the audience you have reached, but even the ones who you have engaged with. This further allows the admin to identify how the resonation of the content exists with various audiences, as well as make informed decisions for their content along with the strategy.
A brand new Export Option
There is a new option available which allows you to download new Page Insights Export, that helps the owners of the page who use and track new metrics, can also update the customized reporting template.
What hasn’t changed?
The APIs that are associated with previous Page Insights are still going to be available to the Page owners as well as the developers, and the future changes on these APIs are going to be announced according to the Developer policies.
It is important to notice that there aren’t any immediate plans for altering the ‘People Talking About This’ section, as the public facing metric on the Pages.
