KARACHI: At least 5 persons were killed and 4 dead bodies were recovered from different areas despite ongoing targeted operations by security officials in Karachi, the metropolis of Pakistan.
Terrorists continued their violent activities in the city; they gunned down three persons of a family in Jhatpath Market of Lyari including father and his two sons. All persons were taken to hospital but unfortunately they succumbed to injuries during treatment.
Three sack packed bodies were found inside a car in the Naveed Cottages of Gulistan-i-Johar area of Karachi while all three bodies were killed brutally after torture.
The police sources said that the car belonged to a textile company which was stolen few days back.
Police officials recovered another dead body from Mauripur Road.
Unknown miscreants targeted a person University Road while another was killed in Orangi Town Sector 4.
Whereas, at least 159 suspected criminals has been arrested in several raids conducted by the security forces including Rangers and police officials in past 24 hours.
Rangers conducted targeted operations in Lines Area, Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Ziaul Haq Colony, Godhra, North Nazimabad, Quaidabad, Moosa Colony and Haryana Colony among many other areas.
Police officials from West Zone of Karachi claimed to arrest 53 suspects including extortionists and those who were involved in other crimes, moreover, seized drugs and weapons from the detained persons.
South Zone Police claimed to have arrested 21 suspects including 11 absconders and recovered drugs, weapons and wine bottles from their possession.
