Washington: South Korean technological giant LG’s flagship device LG G2 white version now available at United States (US) carrier AT&T for $ 199.99.
AT&T had released its variant of the LG G2 earlier this month, but only in black. The carrier took to Twitter to announce its plans to launch the white LG G2 on September 23 and now, as promised, AT&T has begun offering the LG G2 in white.
“The @LGUSAMobile #LGG2 in white starting 9/27,” tweeted the carrier at the time.
The white variant of the LG flagship smartphone, the LG G2, has become available for purchase from September 27. However, this color is only available for purchase online and not in AT&T’s brick and mortar stores.
Apart from the new color it dons, the AT&T variant of the LG G2 remains unchanged. As anticipated, there is no change to the pricing of the smartphone and like the black version, the white variant of the LG G2 too will set consumers back by $199.99 on a two-year contract, Those who prefer to purchase the phablet outright will need to shell out $574.99 with the month-to-month option.
Alternately, those who purchase the smartphone on a one-year contract need to pay $449.99. The AT&T Next option is also available for customers who would rather make monthly payments (20 monthly payments of $27).
The LG G2 features a 5.2-inch display True HD IPS +LCD capacitive touchscreen display with 1080p resolution. The phablet also packs in a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor that is clocked at 2.26GHz, Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB of RAM.
The LG G2 also has a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 2.1 megapixel secondary one. It packs in a 3,000 mAh battery and comes with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.
The LG G2 also introduces the “Rear Key” concept, whereby three buttons (power button and volume) have been relocated and are on the rear of the smartphone instead of the sides. Per LG, this facilitates a better grip and is more convenient, especially when using the smartphone with one hand.
