Islamabad: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has condemned the attacks on minorities in Pakistan.
Attacks on minorities are frequent in Pakistan. Protesters burnt a church in Mardan during demonstrations against an anti-Islam film, Innocence of Islam.
Recently a builder razed a Hindu temple in Karachi, a metropolitan of Pakistan, triggering insecurity among the minorities living in the area.
“Attacks on temples, graveyards, properties and lives of minorities were attacks on Jinnah’s vision of Pakistan,” he said adding that these attacks posed a threat to the country.
On his twitter account, Bilawal appealed to people to rise up and defend Jinnah’s Pakistan and his party would stand by them shoulder to shoulder.
“Our forefathers did not give their lives for an intolerant, extremist, sectarian and authoritarian Pakistan.”
