Democracy key to resolve people’s problems: PM

Islamabad: Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf on Thursday said that judiciary, parliament, armed forces and executive were all the Pakistani institutions and they could go forward by respecting each other.

Speaking at a ceremony organized by the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), he said “how could we be against the Supreme Court when we kept chanting slogans in support of the court in scorching heat, there has been some miscommunication that created wrong the impression”

He said there was no way expect democracy to resolve the problems facing the people of Pakistan, adding that strengthening and stability of institutions was vital for the stability of Pakistan.

The prime minister said that every institution was sacred and they should work within the orbit of the Constitution.
