Speaking to reporters on Saturday, Gilani said that he decided to leave the President House when the things become intolerable for him.
Though the former prime minister didn’t utter a word against President Asif Ali Zardari, he seemed angry over the government for arrest of his son Ali Musa Gilani by the army-led Anti-Narcotic Force (ANF) in ephedrine case.
“Government seemed helpless over arrest of my son,” he said and added that he had not informed the president about his departure from the presidency. “I lived in President House for four months and i have no complain against the president,” he said.
The former prime minister said that his son was arrested when he was living in the president house. He further said there was no political prisoner during his stint as prime minster.
According to media reports, Gilani is disappointed over the removal of bureaucrats, he had appointed, by PM Raja Pervez Ashraf and he had also informed President Asif Ali Zardari about his reservations.
