COLOMBO – The right arm leg spinner of Pakistan, Yasir Shah, has become the first Pakistani bowler to take 50 test wickets in just nine matches.
Yasir Shah has achieved this record during the second test match between the Pakistan and Sri Lanka in Colombo by taking the wicket of Lankan skipper Angelo Mathews.
Earlier, Waqar Younis hold this record of completing half century of test wickets in ten matches, with Muhammad Asif and Shabbir Ahmad of Pakistan also share the record with him.
But Yasir Shah Breaks all those record and become the First Pakistani bowler to get 50 quick wickets in Test Cricket.
He has become the first Pakistani bowler to take early 50 wickets, while 5th spinner of the world to climb this mount.
However, record for quick 50 wickets in Test Cricket hold by Charles Thomas Biass Turner of Australia who completed his 50 wickets in just six matches.
