Germany fourth largest partner of Pakistan in world: Nawaz Sharif

BERLIN: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Monday said that this time Germany was the fourth largest partner of Pakistan in the world and the first agreement was signed in 1965 between both countries.

Addressing to Pakistan German Business Form in Berlin, PM said he wanted to change the German Business Forum into the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

“I expect that Germany would cooperate for Pakistan’s trade with European countries,” PM said.

“Pakistan is ready to join hands with the United Nation (UN) in every field and also ready to cooperate with any country for development projects.

“Pakistan is a centre of economic activities in the region and it Gross Domestic Products (GDP) rate has been increased 4 per cent,” Sharif said.

“Pakistan’s economic structure has improved due to the federal government’s policies and the energy crisis is the first priority.

“We are also promoting trade cooperation with Iran and China,” he added.
