RAWALPINDI: Groundbreaking ceremony of metro bus project for Rawalpindi-Islamabad has been postponed due to non completion of PC-1 of the project, sources said.
According to the sources, the project PC-1 could not be completed and its project cost of 40 billion rupees was imaginary, it was probable that it could be reached to 70 billion rupees.
National Engineering Services Pakistan (NESPAK) engineers were working on the PC-1 of the project.
After the preparation of PC-1 it will be finalized that how much land is utilized in the making of metro bus stations and for its path.
Management of the project confirmed that the PC-1 has not been completed however; management viewed that day and night shift work will be carried out on the project and it will be completed in eight to nine months period and service will be inaugurated before the December 25 of this year.
Earlier it was estimated that project will be completed in 11 month period.
