James Cameron has won a huge lawsuit for stealing the script of “Avatar”, which means he has just rescued billions of Avatar profit.
Bryant Moore, sci-fi writer, accused Cameron of stealing the “Avatar” script and claimed he came up with the basic idea of the movie. Moore sued Cameron for $2.5 billion in 2011.
But court has dismissed Moore’s lawsuit, citing that his plot was way different from the story of Avatar.
The only similarity in both the ideas was the concept of sci-fi love story, which is too vague and Cameron cannot be charged on that.
And ultimately Moore has no chance of getting $2.78 billion from “Avatar” collections worldwide.
