John-AbrahamMUMBAI: Bollywood actor John Abraham said that the film industry has nothing to offer in terms of sensible stories.

The Indian industry star claimed that Bollywood has not many sensible stories to offer to the audience and thus mainly rely on masala entertainment. In his recent interview John said “We lack stories. We have no stories to tell. We put five songs with five comedy scenes and say it’s done”.

The 40 year old actor said that he has started to fall in love with his new role as a film producer. He said “I love the role of a producer because I make the kind of films which I want to make. I make sensible films. I think Vicky Donor and Madras Cafe are examples enough about the cinema which I want to propagate”.

It has been over a decade since John jumped into the scene as a film actor and has thus far has featured in variety of roles. He further said that his movie Madras Cafe focuses on civil war in Sri Lanka,

“While we keep making formula films, as a producer and an actor, I want to say let’s make sensible films which the audience will accept. I want to thank them for accepting a film like Madras Cafe”.

John too now wants to produce a masala movie. He said,

“I’d love to produce a big masala film, and I will make sure that you are genuinely entertained by it”.
