KARACHI: Body of a missing journalist, Abdul Raziq Baloch, who was missing from Karachi since March 24th, was found from Mangopir area of the Pakistani metropolis along with another missing person, Mazhar Abbas, a senior Journalist from port city reported on Wednesday.
“Journalist outfits had demanded his recovery and family has also approached the the court but the authorities denied any knowledge. He was working in a local newspaper Tawaar. in Baluchi language.”
Mr. Abbas has said in his email that the body was so decomposed that the relatives could not identified the body but the police said that a slip was found with the body with his name and address, too.
“Dozen of journalists in Baluchistan had been killed and scores under threat. There have been sudden rise in the killing of “missing persons,” and surprisingly many bodies were found in Karachi.”
Earlier, Aamir Latif, general secretary of Karachi Press Club has termed the event as “very tragic incident” and said “Journalists in all over the country, particularly in Baluchistan have become a soft target. If journalists in Baluchistan have to face the same fate which they did during last five years, then what’s the use of so-called change in the form of Nawaz Sharif and Dr Malik Baluch?”
Riaz Sohail, a journalist from Karachi has said that the sister of missing Journalist Abdul Raziq Baloch confirmed that recovered body is not his brother.
