Google Doodle celebrates 66th Independence day of India


New Delhi: Google Doodle is known for paying homage to the cultural events happening globally.

To honour the 66th year of independence of India, Google Doodle has decorated a multicoloured ribbon to represent Indian independence.

India got freedom from British Raj on August 15th 1947 after battling a hard fought battle with the colonialists. Doodle features a tricoloured ribbon with Safron, White and Green with printed Indian art representing Indian flag.

Earlier, Google Doodle featured Markhor, the national animal of Pakistan on its independence day with K2 Mountains in the background.
