Manchester: Australia made 303 runs on loss of 3 wickets against England at stumps in the 3rd test day 1 played at Old Trafford.

Aussies skipper Michael Clarke along with Steven Smith end the 3rd session without losing a wicket. Michael Clark struck an unbeaten century with Steven Smith’s 70 to guide Australia to score 303 runs at stumps day 1.

Earlier: Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. Chris Roger and Shane Watson provide a great start to Australia. Watson loss his wicket at the total of 76 runs while Rogers his half century. Usman Khawaja was unlucky as he lose his wicket to a rare design of DRS in the first session of play.

Chris Roger after making 84 runs became the victim of Graeme Swann. On the other hand Clarke continue along with Steven Smith to guide Aussies total to 180 runs at tea.
