Lahore: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Fauzia Kasuri has been kicked out from the intra-party elections, here on Wednesday.
According to PTI sources, Fauzia Kasuri has been eliminated from the intra-party election due to her dual nationality of United States.
Confirming her disqualification via tweet, Fauzia said, “In the face of this injustice (disqualification) from #Intrapartyelection, I am ever loyal to #IK, #ISF, #WWing and Pakistan’s poor.”
Fauzia Kasuri, who was the president of women wing of PTI, was running for the same post in the intra-party elections.
Earlier, PTI Chairman Imran Khan and Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi were elected unopposed in the intra-party elections. It is to be mentioned here that several candidates have applied for 49 central posts of the party.
