Close associate of slain gangster, Arshad Pappu, arrested in Karachi

Karachi: The police on Monday night arrested close associate of Arshad Pappu, from Pak Colony area of Karachi, a metropolitan of Pakistan.

According to police, Salman Lashari, who is considered no 2 after the Pappu, was arrested on a tip-off from Pak Colony. He was wanted by police in several extortion, killing and kidnapping for ransom cases.

Salman has been shifted to an undisclosed location and police is likely to carry out more raids on the hideouts of the group.

It is to be mentioned here that on Sunday morning, Arshad Pappu, along with his brother was killed in Lyari, one of the oldest localities of Pakistan’s financial nerve Karachi, early on Sunday, police said.

The police said that three people were killed in firing incident between two groups in Jahanabad Brohi Road. They added that the dead also included Arshad Pappu and his Yasir Arafat.

    I bet that he had himself arrested to save himself – most of Pappu’s gang members are now in danger since Babba Ladla now knows where they live. For many of them, jail is the safest place to be at the moment!
