Mumbai: Venna Malik, who is working hard to make her place in Bollywood, has now received Rs 1 crore for her film, Silk-Sakkat Hot Maga, making her the highest paid actress in Sandalwood, also known as Cinema of Karnataka.
According to Times of India, This is way beyond what even the most successful actress in Sandalwood is paid. It was earlier said that Ramya was paid Rs 54 Lakhs for Kodi Ramakrishna’s film, however the news remained unconfirmed. Now, it has been reported that Veena has been paid a crore for her debut film in Sandalwood.
Meanwhile, the actress has also forayed into other industries of south India, starting with a Telugu film, Nagna Satya, and will decide on other projects after the release of Silk-Sakkat Hot Maga. The film will be released in April, 2013.
