Azlan Shah Cup hockey tournament: Pakistan 4, New Zealand 3IPOH: Malaysia: Pakistan beat defending champion New Zealand 4-3 in their opening match of the Azlan Shah Cup hockey tournament.

Pakistan’s Muhammad Imran scored three goals and Abdul Haseem scored one to help the fifth-ranked side win their first match of the tournament.

Pakistan have dropped four veterans including Shakeel Abbasi, Mohammed Waseem, Mohammed Rizwan Senior and Rashid Mehmood in order to test new players.
