Spiritual leader, Sain Hajan Shah Ghazi, succumbs to wounds

Shikarpur: Sain Hajan Shah Ghazi, custodian of shrine of Pir Hajan Shah of Mari Village, who was injured in a remote control bomb blast last week, succumbed to his wounds on Monday at a private hospital in Karachi.

Reports suggest that business and other social activities came to a halt in the town after the news of his death was made public.

Sources said that angry mobs came out on the streets, protesting against the culprits behind the devastating attack that killed at least three and injured dozens on Feb 25.

Earlier, the bomb blast at shrine in interior Sindh had resulted in four fatalities and left at least 12 people injured including Sain Hajan Shah last Monday.

The blast tore through Dargah Pir Hajan Shah Huzoori in Marri village, near Shikarpur, when a large number of devotees were visiting the shrine.

The spiritual leader would be laid to rest in Shikarpur on Tuesday.
