The News Tribe: Tell something about yourself.
Hafsa Zafar: I have been passionate about makeup since I was a child but didn’t know I will take it as a profession. I am a self-taught artist but I did attend makeup training to sharpen my skills. The majority of my base training was following makeup magazines and videos.
The News Tribe: Share some beauty tips for summers and winters.
Hafsa Zafar: For summers: Use color protecting shampoos, sun will turn colored hair all types of different colors. If you sweat a lot it is better to stay away from foundation, use tinted moisturizer or press powders.
To even out your skin go natural with you makeup in day time and use pink and peaches For Winters: Use Smokey eye makeup is hottest trend for winters. Go bold with your eyes with a nude and glossy lip. Use a lot of moisturizer and stay away from the dryness.
Chapped lips are often the most noticeable problem for a lady in the winter. Use a highly moisturizing lip balm which provides a protective barrier, with vitamin E for good elasticity.
The News Tribe: What do you suggest to gals who are to become brides?
Hafsa Zafar: Skin care is very important prior to makeup application so the to be brides should start following some skin care regimen few months before the wedding.
The News Tribe: While going for makeup, what things are most essential for a female?
Hafsa Zafar: Research; check the latest trends but keeping your own self in mind and do what brings out your personality. Be sure your face is thoroughly cleansed and properly moisturized. The makeup artist may apply a special moisturizer to help the makeup set but either way; you don’t want to show up with dry, flaking skin.
The News Tribe:: We have and extreme hot and cold weather, so what tips would you suggest for office going females?
Hafsa Zafar: Most of women use the wrong color and texture of foundation. One cannot use cream foundation everyday in summer since it give very heavy look so too much makeup is not a good look, less is more. There are a lot of makeup fixing and freshener sprays, keep it with you all the time, spray it on and it adds radiance and make your makeup stay on really long.
The News Tribe: Plus our nation has a complex for fair gals I mean gorey rang ka…..any tips for that?
Hafsa Zafar: Rather using bleach creams apply sunscreen in summer, most women know to put sunscreen on their faces but forget other part like arms and neck and that make that part darker.
The News Tribe: Tell about your salon and your clients.
Hafsa Zafar: I have been in this industry for six years now and had been very fortunate to get good and satisfied clients. And I want to keep earning everything about makeup and continue to grow with the industry.
The News Tribe: What is the relationship of health and fitness with beauty for you?
Hafsa Zafar: I believe they go hand in hand. If you are healthy and fit, you will look beautiful. Healthy eating is the key to look and feel fit and beautiful. Being
healthy will create a good functional and fit body.
The News Tribe: How do you define beauty of a woman as a makeup artist?
Hafsa Zafar: If you are happy and healthy, you are beautiful. Accept yourself how God made you. I think Beauty is an impression, which a woman leaves
on others. Makeup can cover your flaws on the face but can’t cover your characteristic and charm.
The News Tribe: Lastly what is your message to females?
Hafsa Zafar: In terms of the makeup, don’t try to create a very unnatural and outdated look. Always consult a beauty expert before trying in new products to your face Don’t give up your dreams, whatever you love doing, try your best to take it as a profession as you never know where it may take you.
