Samsung Galaxy S4 release date and specs in focus

Print Friendly and PDF

Galaxy S3 was a major hit of Samsung Mobile, making it a world leader in smartphone. This has also raised expectation bar of Samsung fans about its upcoming Galaxy S4.

The tech forums and sites have been giving exciting features and specifications about one of the most anticipated smartphones along with Apple iPhone 5S or iPhone 6, HTC and Sony Xperia’s next generation smartphones.

If rumours around release and features of Galaxy S4 are summud up then these three speculated features could be called the most exciting one:

Release Date is Here!

Perhaps the release date of Galaxy S4 is the most exciting for the smartphone users who are eagerly waiting to see the ‘next big thing’ from the Korean Tech Giant.

According to SamMobile, Samsung is likely to announce Galaxy S4 on March 15 while the sets will be in markets from early April.

The next generation Galaxy S series smartphone will be first launched in Eastern Europe. Later on it will available in rest of the Europe, Asia, Africa, America and Australia.

Improved Battery Life

A much headache for smartphone users is the constant worry about battery consumption in their phones. Samsung’s Galaxy S3 device gave a 2100 mAh battery to its user which is considerably well for long periods of usage.

Yet fans are expecting that this time battery life will be much better. Its almost confirmed that Galaxy S4 will be packed with 2600 mAh battery certainly a much powerful than the previous one.

Similarly, rumours say that Samsung will use its octa-core Exynos 5 processor, Samsung’s own processor launched at CES last month. It will further improve Samsung Galaxy S4 battery life as Exynos 5 consumes 70 percent less battery when we compare it with a quad-core Cortex A5 processor.

Upto 13MP Camera

With other smartphone makers including Nokia, HTC and Sony already have top of the line cameras, Samsung Galaxy S4 is expecting to have the best available camera functioning in the market.

Samsung Galaxy S3 had the 8 mega pixel camera and fans are expecting an enhanced and advanced version in Galaxy S4. Though countless rumours are suggesting a 13 MP camera in Galaxy S4, Samsung could come up with something which is unexpected and unmatched to its competitors.

I just picked up a Samsung S3 a week ago and so far I am pretty happy with. My old phone was the Nokia N70 and I got that new. I am hoping that the Samsung will prove just as relable and last as long.

I have seen people fight over, region, religion, skin color, caste and even languages. This is something new to me -people abusing each other for an OS software made by some companies. I believe we don”t need to be ambassadors of some mobile company. Why do we care what others use? if you are happy with what is in your pocket, so be it. Peace.( PS forgive my English)

I have had all the phones you think someone would have. I started with nokia like everbody else.
I had Sony, HTC, Iphone, Blackberry. Then i found the best phone i have ever used. Someone that made what we wanted in our heads, lay in our hands. The meer fact that you could copy and paste someothing onto your phones memory instead of converting it like we all know itunes. That was the time i said this is something i can use. I started with the Samsung Galaxy S1, I loved it. I moved over to the S2 shortly afterwards. When the S3 was Launched i made a plan to get that phone. That was the phone that hooked me to Samsung. I moved on to the Galaxy Note 2. The best phone yet. battery life is amazing. I have converted iphone followers in myday to day life so easily. Once they felt the comfort of Galaxy, they agreed that only open minded people will understand the joy of Galaxy comparing to the Apple Donkeys. So the Galaxy S4 is defnitly on my new phone want to have list. I have already ordered the phone from my local supplier and can not wait. I have used an Iphone 5 and must say, only two differences in the phone. Feels good, and is lighter. That i can get from handling a teddy bear. Its been a icon in smartphone when the legend Steve Jobs died. That man new innovation. Know his legend is faiding with the boring creation it has become. Samsung has stepped it up and i do say, when i have that Samsung S4 in my hand, i will visit my exisitng i phone buddies. They will know what a real smartphone looks like when i leave. So if people who love their iPhones are “Apple Donkeys”, then surely someone like you, who blindly orders a phone based on speculation alone, Is a Samsung Donkey. And since you’re so open minded, you should see the validity of my argument, shouldn’t you?

      • Super_zaryab

Stfy you faggot. Honestly people that actually think that iphones are the best smart phones on the market should kill themselves for being so stupid and ignorant. I am using an iPhone at the moment and honestly looking at an S3 ive seen how shitty the iPhone really is you probably have never used a samsung have you? Talking like you know all that

        • Bells4

shh shh shh it’s okay buddy it’s okay, no need for childish name calling. I must agree though, the S3 is amazing and i’m jealous of anyone who has it….which is why i’ll show them up with the S4 heh heh heh >:)

… the hell is wrong with you?

You’re no better. I like my iPhone, I can recognize it’s shortcomings. I’ve used an HTC Hero, HTC Mogul, Blackberry and an iPhone. Mogul was underpowered and easily overwhelmed. Blackberry was great in a work environment and useless elsewhere.

Hero was fun. It had horrible battery life, it was seemingly very low on HTC’s list of priorities to get a more recent version of Android available, which was infuriating.

I enjoy my iPhone. I miss widgets a lot. The key difference between an iPhone and an Android that I see is with an Android, I feel like I have to root it. There’s too much power given to carriers and manufacturers to lock things down. I had over a dozen pre-installed, un-removable apps put in place by Verizon. I paid for a phone, not just some of a phone.

I jailbroke my iPhone. Cydia was fine, but it didn’t really seem useful compared to an Android.

Regardless, why do you care? iPhone users who are just nutterbutters obnoxious are extremely irritating. But the Android crowd is so defensive, so reactionary that it borders on a neurosis. Like the phone you like, use it, have fun with it. But good god, calm down.

          • Ewpastor

The iphone was a legend. Was. Samsung left it in the dust. Face the truth.

          • Totojps8686

You guys are all idiots. stop fighting over this. Samsung and apple are both great leaders and it is everyone’s personal preference

          • Rolando Galman

You are right… I would agree with you. The people arguing above are a bunch of techno-morons… why can’t we a thread without being shitty about it????

          • dextersgenius

Not trying to take sides or anything, but just wanted to point out that from Android 4.x onwards you can disable pre-loaded crap. Well you still can’t remove them totally (carriers won’t like it) but at least those apps won’t be using RAM/battery anymore.

Anyways if you want an iPhone like experience on an Android (ie, minimal carrier interference, fast updates) you could get a Nexus. As a bonus, if you still *do* want to root it, it’s a fairly straight-forward process with minimal risk involved.

          • Keuric

Good to know. I re-up in July, I don’t expect an iPhone 5S/iPhone 6 announcement before that, and even if there is, a Galaxy S4 is likely in my future. I really couldn’t stand having to root (or, rather, feeling like I needed to). I certainly have an interest in tech, I’ve done my share of coding as a hobby, so mucking with things is interesting, but rooting feels.. like I’m putting my phone in a precarious place for some reason.

Appreciate the update, I wasn’t aware of the 4.x changes.
