Karachi: At least one policeman was killed and seven others including two cops were injured in a bomb blast in Orangi town area of Karachi, a metropolitan of Pakistan.

According to sources, the incident occurred in vicinity of Mominabad Police station when a planted bomb went off targeting a police mobile.

The bodies and injured have been shifted to a local hospital while police and law enforcement authorities have cordoned off the area.

It is to be mentioned here that the Orangi town is one of the most sensitive areas of the city. A member of Sindh Assembly Manzar Imam was also shot dead in the area by the Taliban militants.
