Pakistani clerics issue decree against terrorism, say suicide attacks against teachings of Islam

Lahore: A group of almost 50 Pakistani clerics on Tuesday issued a Fatwa, a Islamic decree, condemning terrorism in the country.

According to report, the group belonging to Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) also condemned target killings in Karachi and Balochistan, along with sectarianism and suicide attacks.

The fatwa declared that suicide attacks are forbidden in Islam, and that those involved in the killing of innocent people are condemned to hell.

According to the fatwa, suicides attacks and related violence smears the name of Islam and weakens Pakistan.

The fatwa also said that the United States is the enemy of Pakistan and the Islamic world adding that any alliance with the US is un-Islamic and illegal.

Well done – but tell me learned scholars how come it took you so long to “declare that suicide attacks are forbidden in Islam and those involved in killing innocent people are condemned to hell ” and that US is an enemy of pakistan and islamic world ? Has taking innocent lives and terrorism not always been condemned by the Holy Prophet and his Household -the Ahlulbayt (PBUT) ? Did so many innocent lives need to be lost before you wise men decided that something was wrong and you needed to issue a fatwa? Don’t you feel that whilst condemning the great satan – US ,you should have included the real perpetrators of terrorism- the wahabis and their stooges the pakistani government ! To those who love and obey ALLAH (SWT) and his Prophet (PBUH) will abide by this fatwa but for the sons of satan nothing will make any difference.
