Islamabad: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan on Friday strongly condemned the new wave of target killings in Karachi which has resulted in the deaths of eighteen people, including three clerics.
In a statement issued on Friday, the PTI chief said that sectarian violence has damaged the peace of Karachi. He said that law enforcement agencies have completely failed in maintaining law and order in the city.
The PTI chairman appealed to residents of the metropolis to remain calm and help in restoring peace in Karachi.
He said that any violent response would only add to the problems of the city. He demanded the law enforcement agencies control the situation and restore peace, so that the country could make economic progress.
