What the people at higher level at HEC want to do? Their illogical decisions were already proved in the Supreme Court i.e. appointment of Dr. Sohail Naqvi. They are further trying to destroy this institution. Dr. Atta is also presenting completely illogical stance i.e. that Govt is interested in 44 bn and land area HEC owns. This is foolish argument as whole country land is with Govt and so called funds are also provided by the Govt. Why Dr. Atta has stopped UESTP projects which he has started with Musharaff’s backing? Why all digital library resources were gradually withdrawn? Why they are not disclosing lists of scholarship awardees? How much money is spent on training of Top level management at HEC? Why ranking is done without disclosing details? Where do R&D funds went during his tenure? How many senior fellows were appointed with proper advertisement? Whole pakistan is asked to follow HEC criteria and their own criteria for Director Generals is matter of laughter? Through 18th amendment, many institutions were devolved. Are they attributing it as the attack on autonomy of the HEC.

Someone like you should also present the case of HEC issues at supreme court which is bent on going in favour of Dr. Ata all the time even without listening to government views; how come government be wrong all the time?
