Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan announced on Sunday that his party would participate in the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) sit-in in Islamabad.
Talking to the media, the PTI chairman said that it did not matter who was staging the sit-in for the strengthening of the Election Commission.
Imran Khan said that the PTi would also suggest the name for the caretaker prime minister. He added that if anyone made caretaker prime minister without consultations, his party would launch countrywide protests.
Earlier, the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) also announced that his party would participate in the PML-N sit-in.
Leader of Opposition Chaudhry Nisar phoned Baloch and invited the JI in sit-in against Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) violation of the Supreme Court’s orders regarding verification of electoral rolls.
Baloch told Nisar that the JI welcome the PML-N protest and their workers would participate in the sit-in.
He alleged that the ECP was violating the apex court’s order by not using the military during verification of voter lists in Karachi.
