YouTube will be reopened within week: Malik

Islamabad: Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik has once again said that Google’s vide sharing portal YouTube will be reopened in the country within a week after the filtration software.

Talking to media in Islamabad on Saturday, Malik said that blockage of illegal SIM cards was necessary, adding that these SIMs were being used in terrorism activities.

He said that terrorists contact each other through mobile phones. “Mobile phone was used in recent Karachi blasts,” he added.

The minister said that he was appreciated first time over suspending the mobile phone networks due to security reason. He added that the service was suspended temporarily.
