Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Thursday announced that three foreign officials have signed an agreement with them to supervise the matches of Pakistan Super League.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the PCB said that the three International umpires include Michael John Procter, commonly known as Mike Procter, Rudi Koertzen and Russel Tiffin.
Confirming the PCB announcement, the ICC match Referee Procter said that he had supervised several matches in Pakistan and he hoped that the International cricket would be restored in the country soon.
He further said that he would play his part in reviving the International cricket on the grounds of Pakistan.
No international cricket has been played in the country since militants attacked the Sri Lankan team bus during a Test match in Lahore in 2009.
The world professional cricketers’ union has warned players against taking part in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), due to start in March, because of the “unmanageable” security risk.
