Davos: Pakistan’s former cricket star turned politician, Imran Khan on Thursday said that he was more confident than ever that his party will sweep in the upcoming national elections.

On the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in the Swiss ski resort of Davos, Khan said that he will become the country’s next leader and he was optimistic the country wants change.

He claimed that 40 million young Pakistanis would vote for the first time, out of an electorate of 90 million, and that they represent a ”big vote for change.”

He further accused media for receiving huge amounts from those who wanted to maintain status quo in the country. The money is being used to Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf party, and conducting a propaganda campaign accusing him of being pro-Taliban, he added.

IK and PTI seem to be their
own worst enemies. It is extremely painful to witness as a well wisher of both
IK and the PTI. The party does not seem to think things through. First, when
the party had finally made it to the center stage after struggling on the
sidelines for 16 years (as evidenced by the Lahore jalsa), it went ahead and
embraced the very people it had relentlessly campaigned against, thereby
destroying the very thing that had made it popular. PTI’s slogan of change no
longer remains credible when you see IK surrounded by Qureshi, Hashmi, Qasuri,
Shafqat, Sardar Asif Ali, and the lot.
Then there are these ill-conceived marches that never seem to materialize.
There are announcements and sloganeering but nothing actually ever happens.
On top of all this, there’s IK’s flip-flopping on issue after issue. Take Qadri
for example: now we are joining the march; now we are not. We agree with his
ideas but disagree on his methods. But if the caretakers are not neutral we’ll
launch a march of our own! Then this gem: we didn’t join him because there
might have been bloodshed. So who’s going to guarantee there will be no
bloodshed when tsunami march actually happens; if it does at all! The whole
saga clearly displayed IK’s lack of political acumen and his utter inability to
analyze political events and formulate political strategy.

Only GOD ALMIGHTY can save Pakistan let’s pray for his forgiveness, the situation is beyond anything humans can do. The poor only become visible before elections then become invisible. In the land of the blind the one eye’d man is king.

InsShaAllah PTI will win in upcoming elections. We need honest leadership, not necessarily experienced one. A person can become experienced over time but cant become honest over time. Please cast your vote wisely and choose honest leadership.

Great Message; no doubt the real and honest leaders should unite against corrupt mafia’ otherwise we all will see just a repeated History and nothing outcome except the majority of the public again suffer a lot for survival; and the reality is the leaders never suffer like the participating public.
One thing is clear that in the interest of the real suffered public and to achieve clean Democracy the Leader like you must unite with the Leaders like Qadri and Others to make change in the system. Otherwise, seems rare chances to beat Big Mafia of deep rooted corruption. God Help U and those who tried their best to implement constitution at least before and after elections; even still a lot to-do list by the honest and capable leaders to formulate positive culture beyond the election. Thx  SChaudhry
