Karachi: Awami National Party (ANP) Chief Asfandyar Wali on Thursday contacted Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) head Altaf Hussain and condoles on the brutal killing of MQM MPA Manzar Imam, who was shot dead by Taliban militants in Orangi Town area of Karachi.
According to MQM handout, the two leaders agreed to fight jointly against the terrorism faced by the country. Talking on the occasion, the MQM Chief said that he did not want to fight Pakhtuns instead he want long lasting friendship with them across the country.
Mr. Hussain further said that now it was the time that the whole nation should unite against the terrorism faced by the country.
“We cannot get rid of terrorism until we decide to jointly fight against it,” he added.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Wali agreed with Altaf Hussain and said that his party had given enormous sacrifices in the war against terror and he welcome the MQM chief’s proposal to defeat militant mindset in the country with joint efforts.
Meanwhile, the ANP Chief also announced that the party leadership in Sindh would participate in the funeral of the deceased MQM lawmaker.
