Brisbane: Australia have gone past their lowest One Day International (ODI) total of 70 as all out for 74 after having opted to bat first in the 3rd ODI against Sri Lanka at Brisbane on Friday with the series level 1-1.

Left-hander Mitchell Starc was hit twice on the helmet by bouncers from Thisara Perera but it was punctuated by two hits to the ropes, including one over the keeper.

Xavier Doherty was the second Australian batsman to get into double figures cracking Thisara Perera over the covers.

Kulasekera completed his sensational spell of 5 for 22 including two maiden overs.

Australia’s historic lowest ODI score is 70 against New Zealand in 1986 and the same 70 against England in 1977.
