Pakistani Taliban claim attack on MQM’s MPA Manzar Imam, vow more

Peshawar: The Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) on Thursday claimed responsibility for the killing of a provincial lawmaker belonging to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in Orangi Town area of Karachi, a metropolitan of Pakistan.

Unidentified men on Thursday gunned down Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) lawmaker Manzar Imam along with his three bodyguards in Karachi.

Sources said that the assailants shot dead Imam in Orangi Town area of Karachi. Rescue sources said that the incident occurred in Nishan-e-Haider Chowk of the area.

Talking to media from an undisclosed location, the TTP Spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan claimed responsibility for the killing, saying it was the second targeted attack in Karachi that they had carried out on the political party.

“We have warned them earlier that we will carry out attacks on them,” he said adding that the outfit would continue to launch more attacks against one of the secular party of the country.

    I don’t think that Taliban are from Pakistan, nor they are based upon Islam. There is a great deal of mystery and information hidden right behind this taliban community, or may be it resides and something has to do with government, or any part of it. I wonder if Taliban communicate our intelligences like this, so sleek and restfully, why don’t our government takes action against them instead of crying? Mystery, mystery, mystery…
