Islamabad: Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) Leader Dr Tahirul Qadri refused to give his first speech at Jinnah Avenue in Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan, and said that he would give his speech only in front of  Parliament House of Pakistan.

Addressing a mass rally at Jinnah Square in Islamabad, the PAT leader said that the current governments had lost their mandates and therefore he gave them a deadline till morning to resign from their assemblies on their own.

“Today the fake governments have lost their mandates,” he said adding that he invite President Asif Ali Zardari and ministers to join his revolution.

The religious scholar said that that the president and ministers were no more on their posts and had become the former president and ministers.

He further gave an ultimatum of five minutes to the local authorities to shift the stage in front of the parliament.

“Rehman Malik met me in Lahore and promised that our march will be at D Square, in front of Parliament, but the promise was not fulfilled.”

He further administered the oath from his followers to stay with him until the announcement of dissolution of the current government.

Dr Qadri further congratulated his followers for joining him in a 38-hour long march and reaching towards Jinnah Avenue for the revolution.

“This is not only the biggest march of Pakistan but the biggest of the world so far witnessed by the history,” he said.

He also said that the long march has ended and the revolution has began and now no one will use the word of march.

The PAT leader further applauded the role of media for working together with him to bring the march in Islamabad.

Earlier, Dr Tahirul Qadri arrived at the site of the sit-in. A large number of people gathered at Jinnah Avenue to welcome the Tahirul Qadri-led march. A large number of youth are present in the participating crowd while many women have also turned up at the sit-in, some of them with their children.
