Lahore: Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri, founder of Tehrik-e-Minhajul-Quran Saturday dismayed the influential business tycoon Malik Riaz after refusing to meet him to avoid ‘deal’ on the long march.
The religious figure blatantly turned down request to hold talks over the issue, making Riaz leave the venue of the press conference.
Talking to the media on the occasion, Dr. Tahir, accompanied by Chaudhry Pervez Elahi, said he also refused dialogue with Chaudhry brothers to avoid compromise on the long march.
He said that he had not even asked who was waiting for several hours to meet him. “I would rather be killed than to comprise on my objectives”.
He said, “we respect each other, but I do not want to meet anyone from the government. I would have met them had they come to meet on some other day”, he said.
Dr. Tahir said that he is fighting a war for 180 million people of the country.
