Karachi: Chief Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has said that the province of Sindh can move towards separation if the local bodies system was not established in the province.
The demand, put forth during a speech to a mass gathering at Jinnah Ground, Azizabad, seemed the ‘political drone attack’ that the activists of the party and other people were anticipating for the last few days.
He also categorically stated that ‘his party will not give up plan to participate in the January 14 long march at any cost’.
MQM chief on the occasion took to task India for its ‘persistent, unprovoked and aggressive firing on the Line of Control. “India must stop its shameless and coward actions at once,” he said.
He urged the nation to become united, because otherwise, an ‘external hand’ would benefit from the situation. “All political forces will have to be united on one platform,” he remarked.
Altaf said that Pakistanis should become ready to render all sort of sacrifices to save the country.
He, on this occasion, also condemned the incident of blast in Quetta, which claimed several lives.
Earlier, there were speculations that the MQM chief will, in his speech, announce to give up British passport and return back to the country.
