Peshawar: Key Taliban commander Mullah Nazir was among five others killed in a US drone strike North Waziristan Agency of Pakistan’s north western tribal region during Wednesday-Thursday midnight, a report said.
“Mullah Nazir was moving towards Wana from Bermal when the drone targeted his vehicle in Sarkanda area,” Wana’s Assistant Political Agent told BBC.
However, Taliban have not confirmed the death Nazir, a member of Ahmedzai tribe, yet.
Meanwhile, another drone strike in early morning killed four more people in Mubarakshai area of the agency bordering Afghanistan.
Sources said that the unmanned aircraft fired four missiles on a vehicle.
