London: Samsung has finally brought the Android 4.1.2 update for the Galaxy S3 to United Kingdom.
The Premium Suite features, first included on the Galaxy Note II, can be downloaded over-the-air (OTA) or via Samsung’s KIES software, offering users the chance to run apps side-by-side at the same time, as well as improvements to Samsung’s own apps – including Paper Artist, Samsung Gallery and Group Cast.
According to The Verge, the new Jelly Bean update installed, the Samsung Galaxy S3 will also gain smarter rotation recognition, the ability to tag friends, locations and dates to different pieces of media and files, and Auto Share Shot Pairing – which allows photos to be shared over an NFC ‘bump.’
Samsung has also improved its Best Photo feature to launch ‘Best Face’ which provides a choice of five shots from which to choose from, allowing users to choose the best face of each person in their shot.
Add in a better low light mode, an updated panorama mode, improved touch response and better media features, the update really extends the usefulness of Samsung’s bestselling Android smartphone, the report added.
Moreover, In US the software update for the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be available from Friday, December 21 where it will be offered in an over-the-air and USB manner.

As is the case with all other Android 4.1 updates of its kind, the Galaxy S3 will benefit from Google Now, richer notifications, as well as smarter keyboard, speech-to-text, and widgets.
