General election: PML-F, JI to form electoral alliance in Sindh

Karachi: The Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) and the Jamaat-i-Islami have agreed on Monday to form an electoral alliance in the province of Sindh for the upcoming general elections in Pakistan.

JI Sindh chief Dr Merjul Huda Siddiqui visited PML-F chief Pir Pagara Syed Sibghatullah Rashdi at his residence.

Pir Pagara criticised the present government, saying it had destroyed all important institutions of the country.

He claimed that the government had recruited around 35000 people with criminal record in police during its tenure.

Dr Meraj welcomed the decision and said it has given the JI a new courage. He said the Sindh government is being held hostage by ‘terrorists’.

He said that the people of Sindh have always voted for the PPP but the party betrayed them in return.

Dr Meraj said it is high time for all positive forces to join hands in larger interest of the nation and the country.
