FIH World Hockey rankings: Pakistan jumps to No 5, Germany still on top

Luzan: Pakistan hockey has shown an impressive progress in the International Hockey ranking after jumping from 9th position to 5th in the latest rankings.

According to new rankings, Germany, Australia, Netherland and England have maintained their first, second, third and fourth positions respectively.

Pakistan occupied the place of Spain, which was at number five in the last ranking.

Pakistan defeated India by 3-2 in the Bronze medal match of the Champions Trophy Hockey tournament, which helped the team to attain fifth position in the rankings.
