Police constable held for making threat call to Interior Ministry

Vehari: Local police have arrested a police constable over charges of being involved in making a threatening phone call to Interior Ministry of Pakistan.

Speaking to media, DPO Vihari said the police have concluded the investigations and confirmed that the police constable, who has been arrested, was involved in making the threatening call.

According to the DPO Shakir Ali, the constable Tariq Mehmood has also confessed to his crime after which case has been lodged against him in Model Town, Burewala police station under the telegraph act.

In his statement, the accused said that he wanted to trap his colleague constable, for this purpose he had activated a mobile sim on his name but he was traced for using his own mobile phone.
