Nine US-made missiles recovered from Nowshera

Nowshehra: As many as nine US made land to air missiles were recovered during digging in Jalozai camp here in District Nowshehra of Pakistan’s province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to The News Tribe correspondent, the affected persons found a missile when they were digging ground in phase 6 of Jalozai camp, upon this they rushed to Jalozai police post and informed the local police about the incident.

Meanwhile, heavy contingent of police reached the spot and surrounded the area. They further dig the ground and recovered eight more missiles, taking them under their control.

The police officials told our correspondent that land to air missiles were American-manufactured and were given to Afghan groups by America during Afghan-Soviet war. “Afghan commander buried the missiles under the ground when they were leaving Jalozai camp.”

The authorities have cordoned off the area because of the possibility of more number of missiles been recovered from the area.
