Karachi: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain on Sunday appreciated security forces for maintaining peace in Muharram and said that Interior Minister Rehman Malik took suitable measures to thwart terror attacks on scientific basis.
In a statement issued from London, Mr. Hussain paid tributes to armed forces, ISI, law enforcement agencies, intelligence agencies, rangers, and police for making foolproof arrangements to protect life and property of citizens and foil terror bids.
He said that people were anxious about the terror threats. But security forces not only defused bombs but also arrested suspected terrorists.
He also praised President, Prime Minister, Sindh Governor and Chief Minister for taking effective steps to maintain security during the Ashura rituals.
