Karachi: The people of Karachi, especially office goers and daily wagers faced great difficulty on Friday and Saturday in the absence of public transport in the city.
Tough tight security measures were taken on the eve of Muharram-ul-Haram, however, the authorities didn’t succeed in dispelling a sense of fear from the city. Resultantly, the city called economic hub of the country wore a deserted look on 8th and 9th Muharram.
Scores of people could be seen waiting at several places on the road for their respective transport while the buses were packed up to the roof, making it dangerous for one to travel in them.
The situation called for a strategy to tackle the problem and ease up woes of the dwellers of the port city.
