Tokyo: Light magnitude earthquake jolted the capital of Japan and nearby areas on Saturday at 6:00pm, with no immediate reports of damage to life or property.
Japan Meteorological Agency said that no tsunami warning was issued after the occurrence. It said the depth of the tremor was 50 miles east of Tokyo.
Public broadcaster NHA informed that service of some trains in Tokyo was disturbed because of the happening, but they were now normal.
Experts say that 4-4.9 magnitude quake is light in intensity and results in minor shaking of things indoor. The quake can be felt but does little damage to anything.
