Lt-Gen Abid Pervaiz appointed new Multan Corps Commander

Multan: The army has appointed Lt-Gen Abid Pervaiz as corps commanders of Multan replacing Lt-Gen Shafqaat Ahmed from the key post who is due to retire later this month.

Before the new assignment, Lt-Gen Abid Pervaiz HI(M) was working on the post of Chief of Logistics Staff (CLS) in General Headquarters (GHQ).

The new Corps Commander Multan is due to retire on 15 April 2015.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant General Shafqaat Ahmed HI (M), Punjab will be retiring this week.
