Karachi: Blast in DHA flat triggers panic

Karachi: Police officials are investigating a blast in a flat in Defence Housing Authority (DHA) area of Karachi, financial hub of Pakistan, and have recovered six drums filled with chemicals.

No casualties were reported after the incident.

According to reports, the residents of the flat, located in Khayaban-e-Bukhari in Phase 6 of DHA, immediately fled away after the blast.

Eyewitnesses say there were three men and a girl among the inhabitants.

DIG Crime Investigation Department (CID) Kamran Fazal said the incident could not be termed as terrorism as the blast occurred due to chemical processing.
