Islamabad: Strict measures have been taken to provide security to the central procession of 9th Muharram-ul-Haram in Islamabad.
The procession is to be taken out from the Isna Ashri area as the participants start gathering at the spot.
About 4000 police personnel have been deployed in the federal capital and surrounding roads, while sniper shooters are in position on the roofs of buildings. Four ‘mobile jamming cars’ will also be part of the procession in the city.
Walkthrough gates have also been installed at the premises, after which participants are being thoroughly frisked and checked.
