Karachi: November 22, 2012 – Mobilink distributed 1000 school bags to underprivileged students in the cities of Lahore and Karachi in line with continuing celebrations of Universal Children’s Day.

The initiative was taken under the umbrella of Mobilink Foundation to extend support to children who are denied formal schooling opportunities due to financial reasons or social exclusion.  The donated school bags are part of a unique initiative undertaken by Mobilink since 2007. These bags are made using recycled panaflex sheets from advertising billboards of Mobilink and other donating companies to tailor school bags for children. Over the past five years, Mobilink Foundation has donated nearly 40,000 bags to organizations such as the JAQ Educational Trust, CARE Foundation, Zindagi Trust, Sindh Education Foundation , Punjab Education Foundation and DSRA Education Trust.
