From singer to stage artist: A short biography of Sikandar Sanam

Sikandar Sanam’s real name is Muhammad Sikandar. He was born and raised in Karachi and residing one of slums area Ranchoher Line.

He was inspired by his father Syed Abdul Sattar Shoqeen Jetpuri late who was famous Gujrati poet of Indo-Pak Asia.

Sikandar was basically a Singer, and played a role in a stage drama with friends in his childhood. Then he decided to choose one profession and later overruled his singing to enter showbiz.

After getting lots of love and appreciation from public, he became Sikandar Sanam from Muhammad Sikandar.

He produced a parody film “Terey Naam2”—a copy of Bollywood movie Terey Naam in which he played a role of Salman Khan in a comical and satirical ways that brought his fame at a new height in India and Pakistan.

Sanam has also produced movies like Munna Bhai MBBS 2 and Ghanjini 2. He produced nine movies based on the themes of Bollywood and Hollywood movies.


Besides he worked in three dozen famous stage shows and tens of drama and shows for local tv channels.

He also performed in “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge” gave him the coveted title “Comedy King”,

He was diagnosed with a liver cancer last month that caused his death finally. He was 48 years old and left four sons and two girls.
